WHO WE ARE

The goal of our schools is to provide excellent academic programs and childcare within a safe, loving environment. We offer a variety of affordable programs including half day, full day and full extended day to meet the needs of working parents. Our programs include a free lunch with milk and two snacks each day for our students.

The executive administrator enrolled her young children in a Montessori school and was very impressed with the method used to teach her children and also with their academic progress. She began volunteering as an aide at her children’s school to find out more about the way in which her children were learning. After volunteering for a time she was so convinced that children thrive in a Montessori environment that she enrolled in a Montessori training program and earned a Montessori diploma as a qualified teacher.

Upon moving to California she earned an additional Montessori diploma from International Association of Progressive Montessorians (IAPM-USA) and continued her teaching career. After teaching for a period of time she was promoted to Center Administrator.

As a parent she saw that her children excelled throughout their academic career due to the strong education they received as young children. She is a proud parent of three adult children (a computer statistician, a medical doctor and a Montessori teacher). Her desire to extend the opportunity of a Montessori education to many more families prompted her to start her own school.

In 1998, we started our first school in Chino with only 23 children and within six short months had an active enrollment of 88 children. We extended our services by opening a second school in Chino Hills with 19 children and soon had an enrollment of over 90 children. We currently have a waiting list at our Chino Hills location. In 2006, we acquired Discovery World in Diamond Bar and converted it to a fully equipped Montessori school.
We are convinced that the strong academic programs and nurturing environment provided by the staff at Discovery World Montessori and Montessori School of Chino Hills will enable your children to achieve a higher level of success in all future endeavors.

We take great care in selecting the most experienced Montessori teachers. We do not believe in using “hybrid” teachers (a teacher who received only in-house training by another qualified Montessori teacher and does not have a Montessori diploma). The Montessori concepts of teaching methods, student academic assessments and child psychology are very important factors in earning a Montessori diploma. For this reason, only teachers who have earned a Montessori diploma are lead teachers in our schools. We are proud to have AMI, AMS and IAPM qualified lead teachers in the classrooms at each of our schools.
Our loving staff provide a nurturing environment that encourages each child’s individuality and academic and social growth. Our teachers team with parents to provide the best possible school experience for all our children.

We are located at Chino Hills Promenade Shopping Complex behind the Chino Hills Car Wash and Bravo Burger. Our Center is completely fenced and requires that a “password” be keyed into a security station to enter the facility to provide a higher level of safety and security for our children.
